Miku by Mauryan AI

Parent Declaration

Effective date: 12 August 2026  ·  Last updated: 12 August 2026  ·  Version: 1.0

This page is written for parents and guardians. It explains, in plain language, what you are agreeing to when your child uses Miku — the learning app published by Mauryan AI, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Please read it before ticking the consent boxes in the app. It takes about two minutes.

Why you are being asked

Miku is built for students of Classes 8–12, so most of our users are under 18. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the personal data of anyone under 18 may only be processed with the consent of a parent or lawful guardian. That is what the consent boxes in the app are for.

What Miku is

Miku is a study companion aligned to the NCERT syllabus. It gives students study cards, mindmaps, worked homework solutions with step-by-step hints, practice questions and a searchable library of common doubts, in English and Hindi.

It is a study aid, not a replacement for your child’s school, teacher or textbook. Our content is prepared with the help of AI tools and reviewed by our team, and like any study material it can contain mistakes — we ask students to check important answers against their textbook.

What we collect about your child

We deliberately collect as little as possible. There is no email address, no phone number and no password involved in creating an account.

WhatWhy
Full name, school name, date of birthTo create the account and recognise your child when they sign in again. The date of birth is also how we identify accounts belonging to children, so that the protections below apply.
Class and language choiceTo show the right syllabus, in English or Hindi.
Learning activityChapters opened, homework attempted, hints used, time spent, streaks and achievements — so your child can see their own progress.
Device detailsDevice type, model, operating system and app version, to support the app and fix faults.
DiagnosticsCrash reports, so we can fix bugs.

The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

What we never do

  • We do not show advertisements in Miku, and there are no advertising networks in the app.
  • We do not use any child’s data for ad targeting, ad profiling or behavioural advertising.
  • We do not sell, rent or trade personal data to anyone.
  • We do not ask children for their location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
  • We do not ask for payment details — Miku is free to use.
  • We do not allow children to chat with strangers. Miku has no messaging, no social feed and no user-to-user contact of any kind.

What you are declaring

When you tick the consent boxes on the sign-up screen in the app, you are confirming the following.

Declaration

  1. I am the parent or lawful guardian of the student whose details are being entered, or I have that person’s authority to act.
  2. I have read this Parent Declaration, the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.
  3. I consent to Mauryan AI collecting and processing my child’s personal data as described in the Privacy Policy, for the purpose of providing the Miku learning app.
  4. I understand that I may withdraw this consent at any time, and that doing so means the account will be closed.
  5. I accept responsibility for supervising my child’s use of the app.

This step is for a parent or guardian to complete. If you are a student, please hand the phone to a parent or guardian before ticking the boxes. Ticking them means an adult responsible for the student has read and agreed to the above.

Your rights as a parent

You may, at any time and free of charge:

To exercise any of these, email jaibakshi@mauryan.ai with your child’s username (shown on their Profile screen), or the full name, school and date of birth on the account. We respond within 30 days, and may ask one question to confirm who you are before we act — so that we never hand one family’s information to someone else.

A note on supervision

Miku has no chat, no social features and no way for your child to be contacted by another user, so the usual online-safety risks do not apply here. The one thing worth knowing is how signing in works: there is no password. The account is identified by the combination of school name, full name and date of birth. That keeps things simple for students, but it also means anyone who knows those three details could reach the account. Please treat them as you would a password, and contact us if you think someone else has used your child’s account.
