This page explains how to delete your Miku account, what happens to your data when you do, and how long it takes. It applies to the Miku mobile app published by Mauryan AI, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.
You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app, in under a minute — Profile → Delete account. If you no longer have the app installed, use the email route below.
1. Delete your account from the app
This is the fastest route, and it takes effect immediately.
- Open the Miku app and sign in, if you are not already signed in.
- Tap the profile icon in the top-right corner of the screen to open Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Profile screen. Just above Log out you will find Delete account.
- Tap Delete account. A confirmation dialog explains that the action is permanent.
- Tap Delete to confirm. Your account is closed straight away and you are returned to the start screen.
If you change your mind, tap Cancel in the dialog — nothing is deleted unless you confirm.
2. Request deletion by email
If you have uninstalled the app, cannot sign in, or are a parent or guardian asking on behalf of a child, email us instead.
Send your request to jaibakshi@mauryan.ai with the subject line “Delete my Miku account”, and include enough detail for us to find the account:
- the username shown on your Profile screen (for example,
ArjunSharma010101); or - the full name, school name and date of birth used when the account was created.
We will confirm receipt, may ask one verification question so that we do not delete the wrong person’s account, and will complete the deletion within 30 days of a verified request. There is no charge.
Parents and guardians: if your child uses Miku and you want their account and data removed, you can make this request yourself. Tell us that you are the parent or lawful guardian, and give the details above. We will action it on the same terms.
3. What is deleted
When an account is deleted, the following are erased or irreversibly anonymised:
| Data | What happens | Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Account details Full name, school name, date of birth, username, selected class, language preference |
Account is closed immediately and can no longer be signed into. Records are then erased or irreversibly anonymised. | Immediate closure; erasure within 90 days |
| Learning activity Homework attempts, hints revealed, solved status, time spent, practice and test results, streaks, achievements |
Deleted. | Within 90 days |
| Device records Device identifier, platform, model, OS version, app version, push notification token |
Deleted. Push notifications stop immediately. | Within 90 days |
| Notifications Inbox messages and notification preferences |
Deleted. | Within 90 days |
| On-device data Cached chapters, study cards, mindmaps, homework, your sign-in token, saved settings |
Removed from your phone automatically when the account is deleted, when you sign out, or when you uninstall the app. | Immediate |
| Analytics events | Unlinked from your account, then deleted or aggregated so they no longer identify you. | Within 90 days, and in any case no later than 24 months from collection |
4. What we may keep, and for how long
A small amount of information may be retained after deletion, and only for the reasons below. It is not used to rebuild your profile or to contact you.
| Data | Why it is kept | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Crash and diagnostic reports | They record a software fault, not a person, and are needed to fix bugs that affect other students. | Up to 12 months |
| Bug reports and support emails you sent us | To keep a record of the issue you reported and our response. | Up to 24 months after the issue is closed |
| Server logs | Security, abuse prevention and fault investigation. | Up to 12 months |
| Records required by law | Where a law or a lawful order requires us to retain something. | Only for the period the law requires |
| Backups | Deleted data persists in encrypted backups until those backups age out on their normal cycle. It is not restored into the live service. | Up to 90 days |
5. What deletion means for you
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Your progress, streaks, homework history and saved work are gone, and we cannot recover them for you afterwards — not even on request.
Signing up again with the same name, school and date of birth creates a new, empty account. It does not restore the old one.
Miku is free, so there is nothing to cancel and no refund to process. Deleting your Miku account does not delete anything held by Google Play or the Apple App Store; to remove the app itself, uninstall it from your device.
6. If you want to stop using Miku without deleting
You do not have to delete your account to step away:
- Log out from the Profile screen — this clears Miku’s data from your phone but keeps your account and progress on the server, so you can come back later.
- Turn off notifications in your device settings, or in the app where notification settings are offered.
- Uninstall the app — your account stays as it is until you delete it.
